A vulnerability was found in IBM WebSphere Application Server up to 6.1.0.11 (Application Server Software) and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file uddigui/navigateTree.do. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross-site request forgery vulnerability. Multiple cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerabilities in uddigui/navigateTree.do in the UDDI user console in IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) before 6.1.0 Fix Pack 13 (6.1.0.13) allow remote attackers to perform some actions as WAS UDDI users via the (1) keyField, (2) nameField, (3) valueField, and (4) frameReturn parameters.
The weakness was disclosed 08/01/2007 (Website). The advisory is available at www-1.ibm.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2007-5799 since 11/02/2007. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 45423 (IBM WebSphere Application Server 6.1 < 6.1.0.13 Multiple Vulnerabilities), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Web Servers. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 87043 (IBM WebSphere Application Server navigateTree.do Page Cross-Site Request Forgery and Cross-Site Scripting (PK50245)).
Upgrading to version 6.1.0.12 eliminates this vulnerability.
