CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability has been found in RunCMS 1.6 (Content Management System) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown functionality of the file brokenfile.php. The manipulation of the argument lid with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:

Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in RunCMS before 1.6.1 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the lid parameter to (1) brokenfile.php, (2) visit.php, or (3) ratefile.php in modules/mydownloads/; or (4) ratelink.php, (5) modlink.php, or (6) brokenlink.php in modules/mylinks/.

The weakness was disclosed 12/25/2007 by Alexandr Polyakov (DiGiT) with Digital Security Research Group (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-6544 since 12/27/2007. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1505.

A public exploit has been developed in Perl. It is possible to download the exploit at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:brokenfile.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 29853 (RunCMS Multiple Script lid Parameter SQL Injection), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family CGI abuses and running in the context r.

Upgrading to version 1.6 eliminates this vulnerability.

The vulnerability is also documented in the databases at X-Force (39289), Exploit-DB (4787), Tenable (29853), SecurityFocus (BID 27019†) and OSVDB (41235†). The entries VDB-40257, VDB-40256, VDB-40255 and VDB-40254 are pretty similar. Once again VulDB remains the best source for vulnerability data.
