The Setup Wizard in Atlassian JIRA Enterprise Edition before 3.12.1 does not properly restrict setup attempts after setup is complete, which allows remote attackers to change the default language.
The bug was discovered 12/23/2007. The weakness was published 12/24/2007 (Website). The advisory is shared at secunia.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-6619 since 01/03/2008. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
