Multiple cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerabilities in MyBB 1.2.11 and earlier allow remote attackers to (1) hijack the authentication of moderators or administrators for requests that delete threads via a do_multideletethreads action to moderation.php and (2) hijack the authentication of arbitrary users for requests that delete private messages (PM) via a delete action to private.php.

The weakness was disclosed 02/14/2008 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at community.mybboard.net. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2008-0788 since 02/14/2008. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit.

It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:moderation.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
