Microsoft Silverlight 3 before 3.0.50611.0 on Windows, and before 3.0.41130.0 on Mac OS X, does not properly handle pointers, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption and framework outage) via a crafted web site, aka "Microsoft Silverlight Memory Corruption Vulnerability."
The weakness was published 08/10/2010 by Carston Book Eamon Nerbonne with Mozilla Corporation as MS10-060 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared for download at microsoft.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2010-0019 since 12/14/2009. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
