Details
A vulnerability was found in MicroPyramid BottleCRM up to 1.14.5. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects the function _read_upload of the file /api/contacts/import/ of the component CSV Upload Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a allocation of resources vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-770. The product allocates a reusable resource or group of resources on behalf of an actor without imposing any restrictions on the size or number of resources that can be allocated, in violation of the intended security policy for that actor. As an impact it is known to affect availability. CVE summarizes:
BottleCRM 0.45 through 1.14.5 contains an uncontrolled memory allocation vulnerability in _read_upload() that reads entire CSV uploads before enforcing the 5 MB limit. Authenticated users with mass-import permission can send oversized CSV files concurrently to /api/contacts/import/ and /api/cases/import/ endpoints to exhaust worker memory and trigger out-of-memory termination.
