Integer underflow in OpenOffice.org before 2.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a Quattro Pro (QPRO) file with crafted values that trigger an excessive loop and a stack-based buffer overflow.
The bug was discovered 04/17/2008. The weakness was shared 04/17/2008 with iDEFENSE (Website). The advisory is available at openoffice.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-5747 since 10/31/2007. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
