Details
A vulnerability was found in FreeRDP up to 3.31.x. It has been classified as problematic. Affected is an unknown functionality of the component Shadow Server. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-74. The product constructs all or part of a command, data structure, or record using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify how it is parsed or interpreted when it is sent to a downstream component. FreeRDP shadow server from 3.0.0 before 3.32.0 dispatches input PDUs during the Confirm Active state before authentication, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject keyboard input. Attackers can negotiate TLS-only RDP and send an input PDU without Confirm Active to inject synthetic keystrokes into the host user's X11 session via XTEST.
