The Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) Manager service in Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) 5.x before 5.1(3c) and 6.x before 6.1(2) allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (TSP crash) via malformed network traffic to TCP port 2748.

The bug was discovered 06/25/2008. The weakness was disclosed 06/26/2008 (Website). The advisory is available at cisco.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2008-2061 since 05/02/2008. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
