The Real-Time Information Server (RIS) Data Collector service in Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) before 4.2(3)SR4, and 4.3 before 4.3(2)SR1, allows remote attackers to bypass authentication, and obtain cluster configuration information and statistics, via a direct TCP connection to the service port, aka Bug ID CSCsq35151.

The bug was discovered 06/25/2008. The weakness was presented 06/26/2008 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at cisco.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2008-2062 since 05/02/2008. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.
