Details
A vulnerability was found in mqttsnet ThingLinks up to 1.3.x and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown functionality of the component TDS module. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
ThingLinks is an enterprise IoT platform. Prior to 1.4.0, an unauthenticated SQL injection vulnerability in the `TDengine TDS APIs` allows request-controlled JSON field values submitted to `/anyUser/tds/insertTableData` to reach unsafe SQL construction in the `TDS mapper`. A remote unauthenticated attacker can tamper with TDengine time-series data, including inserting unintended rows or overwriting existing readings. The affected surface is the TDS module's insert-table-data flow and TDengine mapper SQL generation. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.0.
