A vulnerability has been found in VideoLAN VLC Media Player up to 1.1.7 (Multimedia Player Software) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects the function Dimension of the component Video. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. libdirectx_plugin.dll in VideoLAN VLC Media Player before 1.1.8 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted width in an AMV file, related to a "dangling pointer vulnerability."
