A vulnerability has been found in VideoLAN VLC Media Player up to 1.1.7 (Multimedia Player Software) and classified as very critical. Affected by this vulnerability is some unknown functionality in the library libdirectx_plugin.dll. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. libdirectx_plugin.dll in VideoLAN VLC Media Player before 1.1.8 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted width in an NSV file.
