A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in Citrix Broadcast Server (Connectivity Software). Affected is some unknown processing of the file login.asp. The manipulation of the argument txtUID with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. SQL injection vulnerability in login.asp in Citrix Application Gateway - Broadcast Server (BCS) before 6.1, as used by Avaya AG250 - Broadcast Server before 2.0 and possibly other products, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the txtUID parameter.
The weakness was presented 01/09/2009 by DiGiT with Digital Defense (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2008-5882 since 01/09/2009. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1505.

Upgrading to version 6.0 eliminates this vulnerability.
