A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Ravenphpscripts RavenNuke 2.30. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file modules.php of the component Web Services. The manipulation of the argument user_prefix with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. SQL injection vulnerability in the Resend_Email module in Raven Web Services RavenNuke 2.30 allows remote authenticated administrators to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the user_prefix parameter to modules.php.
The weakness was presented 02/16/2009 by Janek Vind "waraxe" with waraxe (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2009-0672 since 02/22/2009. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. Required for exploitation is a simple authentication. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1505 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
