Open redirect vulnerability in login.jsp in Openfire 3.6.0a and earlier allows remote attackers to redirect users to arbitrary web sites and conduct phishing attacks via the url parameter.
The bug was discovered 11/07/2008. The weakness was disclosed 03/23/2009 as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2008-6511 since 03/23/2009. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
