The manipulation of the argument page with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in index.php in moziloCMS 1.11 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the page parameter. NOTE: this might be the same issue as CVE-2008-6126.2, which may have been fixed in 1.10.3.

The weakness was presented 04/22/2009 by rgod (Website). The advisory is shared for download at cms.mozilo.de. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2009-1368 since 04/22/2009. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details and a public exploit are known.
