A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in Apple Safari (Web Browser). Affected is some unknown functionality of the component Web Inspector. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Web Inspector in WebKit in Apple Safari before 4.0 allows user-assisted remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML, and read local files, via vectors related to script execution with incorrect privileges.
The bug was discovered 06/08/2009. The weakness was published 06/08/2009 by Stanford University (Jack) with Stanford University (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2009-1715 since 05/20/2009. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
