A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Novell ZENworks Configuration Management up to 11.2 (Policy Management Software). This issue affects some unknown processing of the component Preboot Service. The manipulation as part of a 0x21 Opcode leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Stack-based buffer overflow in the Preboot Service in Novell ZENworks Configuration Management (ZCM) 11.1 and 11.1a allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via an opcode 0x6c request.
The weakness was released 02/22/2012 by Luigi Auriemma as confirmed knowledge base article (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at support.novell.com.
