The bug was discovered 03/01/2012. The weakness was presented 03/20/2012 by David Vieira-Kurz (Lostmon) with MajorSecurity as not defined mailinglist post (Bugtraq). The advisory is available at archives.neohapsis.com. The vendor was not involved in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2012-0674 since 01/12/2012. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details and a public exploit are known.

A public exploit has been developed by David Vieira-Kurz in HTML and been published immediately after the advisory. The exploit is shared for download at majorsecurity.net.
