A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Luke Mewburn tnftpd 20040810/20061217/20080609 (File Transfer Software). This issue affects an unknown code block. tnftpd before 20080929 splits large command strings into multiple commands, which allows remote attackers to conduct cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks via unknown vectors, probably involving a crafted ftp:// link to a tnftpd server.

The weakness was published 09/29/2008 by Maksymilian Arciemowicz with SecurityReason (Website). The advisory is shared at osvdb.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2008-7016 since 08/21/2009. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
