A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Internet Explorer up to 6 (Web Browser) and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is the function dragDrop of the component DHTML Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a remote code execution vulnerability. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was published 02/02/2004 by Liu Die Yu with Microsoft as advisory_identifier as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared for download at technet.microsoft.at. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2003-1027 since 01/07/2004. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
