A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in IBM AIX up to 6.1.2 (Operating System). Affected by this issue is an unknown function of the component Access Restriction. gssd in IBM AIX 5.3.x through 5.3.9 and 6.1.0 through 6.1.2 does not properly handle the NFSv4 Kerberos credential cache, which allows local users to bypass intended access restrictions for Kerberized NFSv4 shares via unspecified vectors.
The issue has been introduced in 08/01/2004. The weakness was published 10/01/2009 (Website). The advisory is available at www-01.ibm.com.
