The weakness was published 12/17/2009 by Igor Bukanov (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2009-3982 since 11/19/2009. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 43355 (CentOS 4 : seamonkey (CESA-2009:1673)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. Upgrading to version 1.0.9 eliminates this vulnerability.
