stap-server in SystemTap before 1.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in stap command-line arguments in a request.
The weakness was disclosed 01/26/2010 (Website). The advisory is shared at sourceware.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2009-4273. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
