A vulnerability classified as critical was found in DokuWiki 01/25/2012 (Content Management System). Affected by this vulnerability is the function html_edit_form of the file doku.php of the component User Management. The manipulation of the argument $_REQUEST['target'] with an unknown input leads to a cross-site request forgery vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-352. The web application does not, or can not, sufficiently verify whether a well-formed, valid, consistent request was intentionally provided by the user who submitted the request. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was disclosed 04/18/2012 by Khashayar Fereidani with IRCRASH Security Community as File 111939/Doc as confirmed exploit (Packetstorm). The advisory is shared at packetstormsecurity.org. The public release happened without involvement of the project team. The attack can be launched remotely. The successful exploitation requires a single authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details and also a public exploit are known.
