A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in iJoomla Com News Portal 1.5.2 (Content Management System). Affected is an unknown code of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument controller with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in the iJoomla News Portal (com_news_portal) component 1.5.x for Joomla! allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the controller parameter to index.php.
