A vulnerability has been found in Seber Com Sebercart 1.0.0.12 and classified as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown code block of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument view with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality. The summary by CVE is:

Directory traversal vulnerability in the Seber Cart (com_sebercart) component 1.0.0.12 and 1.0.0.13 for Joomla!, when magic_quotes_gpc is disabled, allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the view parameter to index.php. NOTE: some of these details are obtained from third party information.

The weakness was published 04/06/2010 by AntiSecurity with isec (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2010-1313. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details and also a public exploit are known.
