Tools/gdomap.c in gdomap in GNUstep Base before 1.20.0 allows local users to read arbitrary files via a (1) -c or (2) -a option, which prints file contents in an error message.
The weakness was published 05/12/2010 by Dan Rosenberg (Website). The advisory is shared at ftpmain.gnustep.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2010-1457. The exploitation is known to be easy. An attack has to be approached locally. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1592 for this issue.

Upgrading to version 1.15.4 eliminates this vulnerability.
