A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in 60cycle CMS 2.5.2 (Content Management System). This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file news.php. The manipulation of the argument DOCUMENT_ROOT with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in 60cycleCMS allow remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via directory traversal sequences in the DOCUMENT_ROOT parameter to (1) news.php, (2) submitComment.php, and (3) sqlConnect.php.
