A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Cmstactics Com Beeheard 1.0. Affected is an unknown part of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument controller with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in the BeeHeard (com_beeheard) and BeeHeard Lite (com_beeheardlite) component 1.0 for Joomla! allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the controller parameter to index.php.
The weakness was presented 04/14/2010 with isec (Website). The advisory is available at exploit-db.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2010-1952 since 05/18/2010.
