ImageIO in Apple Mac OS X 10.5.8, and 10.6 before 10.6.2, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) via a crafted movie file with MPEG2 encoding.
The weakness was shared 06/17/2010 by Kevin Finisterre (pagvac) with MIT Kerberos Team (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2010-0543 since 02/03/2010. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
