Ghostscript 8.71 and earlier reads initialization files from the current working directory, which allows local users to execute arbitrary PostScript commands via a Trojan horse file, related to improper support for the -P- option to the gs program.
The weakness was published 07/12/2010 by Paul Szabo as Bug 599564 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2010-2055 since 05/25/2010. The exploitability is told to be easy. An attack has to be approached locally.
