Array index error in RealNetworks RealPlayer 11.0 through 11.1 on Windows allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a malformed header in a RealMedia .IVR file.
The weakness was disclosed 08/30/2010 by Behrang Fouladi (TippingPoint) with TippingPoint's Zero Day Initiative (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2010-2996 since 08/13/2010. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
