The weakness was released 06/08/2012 by Manuel Caballero (team509) with Microsoft as APSB12-14 as confirmed bulletin (Website). The advisory is available at adobe.com. The public release was coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability was named CVE-2012-2035 since 04/02/2012. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available.

It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 59425 (Adobe AIR 3.x <= 3.2.0.2070 Multiple Vulnerabilities (APSB12-14)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
