Untrusted search path vulnerability in Mozilla Firefox before 3.5.14 and 3.6.x before 3.6.11, Thunderbird before 3.0.9 and 3.1.x before 3.1.5, and SeaMonkey before 2.0.9 on Windows allows local users to gain privileges via a Trojan horse DLL in the current working directory.

The weakness was disclosed 10/21/2010 by Ehsan Akhgari as Bug 589190 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is available at bugzilla.mozilla.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2010-3181. Local access is required to approach this attack. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
