A vulnerability was found in GNU Mailman (Mail Client Software) and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown code block of the file Cgi/confirm.py. Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in Cgi/confirm.py in GNU Mailman 2.1.14 and earlier allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) full name or (2) username field in a confirmation message.
The weakness was shared 02/13/2011 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at mail.python.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2011-0707 since 01/31/2011. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
