Buffer overflow in Mozilla Firefox before 3.5.17 and 3.6.x before 3.6.14, and SeaMonkey before 2.0.12, on Windows allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via a long string that triggers construction of a long text run.
The weakness was released 03/02/2011 by Alex as Bug 607160 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is available at bugzilla.mozilla.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2011-0058 since 12/21/2010. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
