Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Gplhost Domain Technologie Control up to 0.28.8. Affected by this issue is an unknown function. The manipulation of the argument cid with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in Domain Technologie Control (DTC) before 0.32.9 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the cid parameter to (1) admin/bw_per_month.php or (2) client/bw_per_month.php.
The weakness was released 03/07/2011 by Ansgar Burchardt (Website). The advisory is shared for download at gplhost.sg. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2011-0434 since 01/12/2011. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1505.
It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 52513 (Debian DSA-2179-1 : dtc - SQL injection), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Debian Local Security Checks.
Upgrading to version 0.28.9 eliminates this vulnerability.
The vulnerability is also documented in the databases at X-Force (65895), Tenable (52513), SecurityFocus (BID 46653†), Secunia (SA43523†) and Vulnerability Center (SBV-30236†).
