The Certificate Trust Policy component in Apple Mac OS X before 10.6.8 does not perform CRL checking for Extended Validation (EV) certificates that lack OCSP URLs, which might allow man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof an SSL server via a revoked certificate.
The weakness was presented 06/24/2011 by Wan-Teh Chang with Google as HT4723 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2011-0199 since 12/23/2010. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
