A vulnerability has been found in Mozilla Firefox (Web Browser) (version unknown) and classified as very critical. This vulnerability affects the function nsSVGPointList::AppendElement. Use-after-free vulnerability in the nsSVGPointList::AppendElement function in the implementation of SVG element lists in Mozilla Firefox before 3.6.18, Thunderbird before 3.1.11, and SeaMonkey through 2.0.14 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via vectors involving a user-supplied callback.
The weakness was published 06/30/2011 by Martin Barbella (Nils) as Bug 648160 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.mozilla.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2011-2363. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
