A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in cURL and libcURL up to 7.15.1 (Network Utility Software). This affects the function Curl_input_negotiate of the file http_negotiate.c. The Curl_input_negotiate function in http_negotiate.c in libcurl 7.10.6 through 7.21.6, as used in curl and other products, always performs credential delegation during GSSAPI authentication, which allows remote servers to impersonate clients via GSSAPI requests.
The weakness was released 07/07/2011 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at curl.haxx.se. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2011-2192 since 05/31/2011. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit.
