Details
A vulnerability was found in phpMyAdmin 3.4.0.0/3.4.1.0/3.4.2.0/3.4.3.0/3.4.3.1 (Database Administration Software). It has been classified as critical. Affected is an unknown code of the file sql.php. The manipulation of the argument transformation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Directory traversal vulnerability in sql.php in phpMyAdmin 3.4.x before 3.4.3.2, when configuration storage is enabled, allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via directory traversal sequences in a MIME-type transformation parameter.
