The weakness was released 07/31/2012 by Matt Austin (Trev) with Aspect Security as Stable Channel Release as not defined knowledge base article (Website). The advisory is available at googlechromereleases.blogspot.ch. The public release was coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2012-2848 since 05/19/2012. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1068 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

It is declared as proof-of-concept. The real existence of this vulnerability is still doubted at the moment.
