Integer signedness error in GroupWise Internet Agent (GWIA) in Novell GroupWise 8.0 before HP3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a negative BYWEEKNO property in a weekly RRULE variable in a VCALENDAR attachment in an e-mail message.

The weakness was disclosed 10/07/2011 by iDefense Labs with iDEFENSE Labs (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at labs.idefense.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2011-2662. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit.
