Mozilla Firefox before 8.0 and Thunderbird before 8.0 on Mac OS X do not properly interact with the GPU memory behavior of a certain driver for Intel integrated GPUs, which allows remote attackers to bypass the Same Origin Policy and read image data via vectors related to WebGL textures.
The weakness was presented 11/09/2011 as Bug 684882 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). It is possible to read the advisory at bugzilla.mozilla.org. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2011-3653. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. Upgrading to version 1.5 eliminates this vulnerability.
