The weakness was released 08/14/2012 by Yamata Li with Palo Alto Networks as MS12-054 as confirmed bulletin (Microsoft Technet). The advisory is shared at technet.microsoft.com. The public release was coordinated with Microsoft. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2012-1853 since 03/22/2012. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be launched remotely.
