A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Cacti (Log Management Software). This affects some unknown functionality of the file auth_login.php of the component Login. The manipulation of the argument login_username with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. SQL injection vulnerability in auth_login.php in Cacti before 0.8.7h allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the login_username parameter.
The weakness was released 12/14/2011 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at lists.fedoraproject.org. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2011-4824 since 12/14/2011.
