A vulnerability was found in Mozilla Bugzilla up to 2.17.1 (Bug Tracking Software). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown functionality of the file post_bug.cgi. Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in post_bug.cgi in Bugzilla 2.x, 3.x, and 4.x before 4.2rc1 allows remote attackers to hijack the authentication of arbitrary users for requests that create bug reports.

The weakness was released 01/02/2012 as Bug 703975 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is available at bugzilla.mozilla.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2011-3668 since 09/23/2011. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
