Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Install Tool in TYPO3 4.5.x before 4.5.19, 4.6.x before 4.6.12 and 4.7.x before 4.7.4 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via unspecified vectors.
The weakness was presented 08/15/2012 by Georg Ringer with TYPO3 Security Team as confirmed bulletin (Website). The advisory is shared for download at typo3.org. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2012-3531 since 06/14/2012. The exploitability is told to be difficult. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. A authentication is necessary for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
